Report】The 3rd Carbon Neutral Seminar was held in Thailand, co-hosted by the Thai Ministry of Industry and the Thai Department of Factories.

 The International Center for Environmental Technology Transfer (ICETT) co-hosted with the Department of Industrial Works (DIW) of the Ministry of Industry of Thailand and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on February 26 and 27 in Bangkok, Thailand, to promote decarbonization initiatives among food-related SMEs in Thailand (including Japanese companies), A carbon neutral seminar was held in Bangkok to promote decarbonization efforts by Thai food-related SMEs (including Japanese companies).
 ICETT and DIW signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) last May for cooperation in promoting carbon neutrality in Thai industry, etc. This seminar was held as part of cooperative activities based on the MoU (this was the third seminar held this year).
 This seminar is supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Program.

Future developments, initiatives, etc.

 ICETT, DIW, and UNIDO will continue to organize local seminars on the initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality in Thai industry, and provide support to (individual) Thai companies to promote GHG emissions accounting and to study and implement concrete measures to reduce GHG emissions. We will also continue to hold local seminars on carbon neutralization initiatives in Thailand.
