It explains the causes and effects of the environmental problems facing the earth today, such as air pollution, global warming, acid rain, and pollution of rivers and oceans. It also explains that these global environmental problems cannot be solved by one country alone, and what role ICETT plays in solving them.

The history of Yokkaichi pollution caused by economic development and the efforts of everyone, including the prefecture, city, and companies, to prevent such pollution are explained in an easy-to-understand manner. It also explains the technology used today to protect the environment, such as equipment to remove pollutants from chimneys, wastewater treatment facilities, and monitoring systems. And it introduces ICETT's activities to share Yokkaichi and Japanese experiences and technologies with the world.

We produced a video to raise environmental awareness at Expo 2005 Aichi, Japan. The film focuses on waste as one of the global environmental issues, and introduces examples of Japanese measures for zero emissions and the creation of a recycling-oriented society.

In recent years, the issue of global warming has been attracting attention as an environmental impact on the entire planet, and ICETT produced an educational video at Expo 2005 Aichi Japan to raise awareness of the need to prevent global warming. The film explains the nature of Mie Prefecture and global warming issues, and introduces countermeasure technologies available in Mie Prefecture and the Chubu region.

Cleaner Productions Comprehensive Pollution Prevention Measures for Economic Activities [produced in March 2001, subsidized by the Japan Bicycle Racing Association].
In recent years, the concept of cleaner production has been attracting attention around the world, not only for its ability to remove pollutants, but also for its ability to both reduce pollution load and increase corporate profits. The video introduces the concept of cleaner production and its expected effects, and provides examples of cleaner production efforts at a beer factory and an electronics manufacturer.

Current status of industrial waste and disposal measures [produced in March 1999, subsidized by the Japan Bicycle Promotion Association].
The report addresses the waste problem, which is becoming more serious with mass production and mass consumption, and explains the history of the tightening of regulations on industrial waste (enactment of laws), key points of the current Waste Disposal and Public Cleansing Law, and the status of waste generation and disposal methods in Japan. The report then introduces examples of proper disposal and recycling of industrial waste, including a controlled industrial waste disposal site, waste recycling at a cement plant, and a beer brewery that has achieved zero emissions.

The historical background of water pollution and the outbreak of Minamata disease and Itai-itai disease are explained. It then introduces the purpose and content of the laws that prevent water pollution and related legislation. It also explains the additional standards, wastewater treatment systems and technologies, and telemetered monitoring systems that have been taken in Japan to improve water quality.

Yokkaichi Pollution and Environmental Improvement Progress [Produced in March 1995, subsidized by the Global Environment Fund].
This section summarizes the history of pollution from the start of operations of the Yokkaichi petroleum complex amidst the continuing high economic growth of the postwar period to the outbreak of Yokkaichi pollution, the tightening of regulations ahead of the national government by Mie Prefecture and Yokkaichi City, and measures taken by the national government and companies to prevent pollution, and how pollution was overcome.
